We've recently made some updates to our self-storage Rental Agreement.
A summary of what we believe are broadly significant changes is below:
- We now require a Lien Addendum if any of the personal property stored has a lien on it. Contact your Management Office if your stored property has a lien in order to complete this addendum.
- Towing provisions for those storing vehicles, boats, and/or trailers are consistent with Florida law. Vehicles, boats, and/or trailers may be sold or towed if more than sixty (60) days in Default.
- Late fees across the company are consistent with Florida law. Late fees assessed at six (6) days past due will be the greater of $20 or 20% of Monthly Rent.
A link to our new Rental Agreement is below. While this blank template does not contain specific Facility, Facility Owner, Management Office, or Unit information, it does contain the updated terms and conditions which will govern your self-storage Unit rental.
For tenants who have not already signed an updated Rental Agreement, this updated Rental Agreement will be in effect as of August 1, 2019. There are changes in addition to those mentioned above, so please make sure to read the Rental Agreement fully. From August 1, 2019 all of the terms, covenants, and conditions of this new Rental Agreement will apply to your tenancy and supersede any and all previous rental agreements.
