Here are some things to think about when considering temperature controlled storage vs. traditional non-temperature controlled storage.
- Drive up access is available with traditional non-temperature controlled units, but temperature controlled units are located in an enclosed building and you must carry your belongings down a hallway to access your unit.
- Temperature controlled storage keeps your belongings in a defined temperature range, whereas non-temperature controlled storage is subject to widely changing temperatures.
- Temperature controlled storage also keeps your belongings from the effects of high humidity. Self storage is sometimes subject to damp conditions.
- By use of an interior hallway, temperature controlled units have less dust accumulation than non-temperature controlled storage and are insulated from the outside conditions.
